If you like minimalist manicures that make a statement, these Monochrome French nails are pour vous! I originally planned to wear this manicure on the second day of MBFWA 2016, it would perfectly matched my black and white Chanel-esque outfit. But fashion week being the crazy whirlwind that it is, time was against me. Instead, I quickly did plain black nails which worked out perfectly. You’ll see why next Monday but let’s get back to the French mani…
These black and white French nails suit any nail shape and look great on both short and long nails. If you have oval and almond shaped nails, than even better! Just make sure the French tip follows the contour of your nail tips for maximum effect.
Another great bonus, this manicure is super easy! Paint your nails in plain white nail polish, wait till it’s dry, attach French manicure guides, paint over with a black polish, remove the guides and seal your artwork with a top coat. If you need a visual step-by-step guide, I’ve posted a tutorial for this exact look on Snapchat (find me: SoNailicious). If you didn’t catch it, see this French Manicure tutorial.
Used: Dior Black Out, OPI Alpine Snow, Dior Gel top coat and French manicure guides.
Wearing: Gunmetal Knuckle Rings & Self Portrait dress (currently on sale).
Now, over to you!
Are you a fan of French nails? Do you usually freehand your French tips or use stencils?
