After the whirlwind that was Fashion Week Australia (aka MBFWA) I’m finally back at SoNailicious HQ! Oh, all the colours and flashy outfits of the fashion crowd! There was plenty of fabulous nailspiration on runways (hope you caught it on Snapchat – SoNailicious) and outside the shows, but sadly, not so much on nails of the models, The ever lasting, all consuming, the safest of them all – Nude nails ruled the show.
But I wouldn’t be sonailicious if I couldn’t find some striking nail designs for you, dear nail art warriors! So even though the mission was (nearly) impossible, here they are. The pearls of nail design creativity, straight from the runways of MBFWA 2016:
1. All Black, Black Everything at We Are Handsome: in the black, black room there were girls with big black eyebrows, their lips and nails were also black… and they wore very cool swimming suits. End of story.

2. Diamonds are Girls Best Friends at Tome: so wear a lot of them, whenever you can. Marilyn must have turned in her grave when she saw the matching manicure, pedicure and makeup.

3. Liberace Come Undone at Romance Was Born: ethereal Liberace little angels with 20s/30s inspired makeup featured some very Kylie Jenner almond shaped nails in gold and red.

4. Hope A Detacher Won’t Notice at Emma Mulholland: umm, is it just me, or did we see exactly the same look 6 months ago? Like, right here and here.

5. No Colour Left For Nails at Zhivago: bold, daring makeup that combines two different beauty looks in one paired with… plain nude nails. Surprise!

6. Last Minute Glitter Rain at Discount Universe: that crying (literally, with blue tears) for attention makeup and crazy hair accomplished the mission. And the nails were the perfect match!

Now, over to you, nail art warriors!
What do you think about these makeup and nail looks, honestly? Any favorites?
