Christmas would be incomplete without the Diorific treat! So true to the SoNailicious tradition I went on the hunt for the new hotly anticipated Dior Holiday 2016 collection nail polishes. These limited edition colours are always divine, and the fact that they are only released once a year makes them even more desirable. This year Dior outdid themselves and released absolutely breathtaking range of 5 luxurious evening nail polishes.
- Nova – iridescent flackies topper
- Splendor – rich red creme with gold shimmer
- Cosmic – rich dark plum creme with gold shimmer
- Golden – true gold metallic
- Precious – elegant fuchsia creme with silver shimmer
However, me as someone who has been collecting Diorifics ever since their inception found that there has been a bit of repetition. Diorific Golden is very close to Diorific Gold Equinoxe from 2014 and Diorific Splendor is… you know, it’s red. Even though, it’s a stunning red with gold shimmer I personally have enough of all sorts reds in my stash, including the Diorifc red.
So this year I skipped both, the Splendor and Golden, and picked Cosmic and Precious lacquers, as well the Nova topper*. And I recommend you do too, particularly if you feel like a Christmas treat from yourself to yourself. These polishes are flawless and probably one of the best nail lacquers on the market. Plus, they are limited edition and selling fast. There will be none left after Christmas, so don’t delay.

*Since technically Diorific Nova not a polish, I’ll show it to you in a separate post very soon ;)
REVIEW:
Formula: 5-free. Very fast drying and highly pigmented. You’ll only need 2 coats to get full opacity with Diorific Cosmic and Precious.
Application: The signature thick rounded Dior brush makes application very easy and flawless.
Finish: Diorific Cosmic and Precious are beautiful glossy cremes with addition of extra fine shimmer. Silver shimmer in Precious and gold shimmer in Cosmic.
Wearability: All Dior polishes are very long lasting. The ones I tried all 4-5 days without chipping.
Nail Art: Great for any kind of nail art and quite beautiful on its own. They’d also look amazing mattified and perfect for glitter gradients.
Overall Impression: If you don’t have the other Diorific colours yet and your budget allows, get the entire range – you’ll love it! However, like me you already have these colours then certainly get the Precious and Cosmic. These colours look particularity luxurious and are flattering for any skin tomes.
Availability: Dior Diorific Splendor nail polishes available now – US $28 here, in Australia $43 AUD here, Europe and the UK – £20.50 here.
Wearing: Gold Knuckle Ring with Diamantes.
So, what do you think about these colours? What’s your favourite colour – Cosmic or Precious?
– Maria, xx
P.S. The new Dior Splendor collection also contains stunning matte fluids in a matching rounded packaging. I’ll show you my pick next Monday!
