“Tough times never last but tough people do…” That’s been my motto for the last 2 weeks. But when my husband, Joseph finally returned home after a very difficult emergency operation, the news was not quite what we expected. One terrible word that no one wants to hear: Cancer. Ahead of us is 6 months of chemotherapy and whatever else comes with it. So I will be taking this week off to spend time with my family and think through the situation.

dear sweet Maria, What terrible news. the word is NASTY ONE THAT DESERVES TO BE TAKEN FROM EVERY DICTIONARY AND EVERY BODY, ANIMAL IN THE WORLD. shouldn’t be at all.. Its nice to have some time with your family when something like this hits hard.. of course ill buy from your website, its the least I can do.. Oh, my! So sorry to hear about that! Do take all the time you need, focus on love, it’s the magic behind everything good in the Universe!
I know firsthand (my mother has blood Cancer) that food is one of the most important changes helping in this situation. Of course with chemo it’s harder to tell if a strict diet is the thing to do (my mother followed a special diet to avoid chemo and she’s doing that on and off for 6 years already – every time the blood test come in doubtful, she gets her diet on and the bad cells back off), but I know the desperate times she was going through before discovering the diet.
I’m sorry to get so long about this, please know I’m only sending positive thoughts and good energies your way! If you want to know more about that diet, don’t hesitate in emailing me, I’ll answer asap with all the details!

Thank you for your sweet words! I can only hope everything will work out for you and your family! My mom followed the Gerson diet and I know it may sound controversial and harsh, but I know firsthand it worked. Many testimonies attest the wonders raw diets accomplish, especially on affections such as your husband’s. I’m not saying it’s a miracle in a bottle, far from it, the road is strenuous and the hardest fight is still in our head, but as you said yourself – we are what we eat. Keep the faith, we’re all hoping with you! Keep strong you guys!

I’m so sorry to hear that. My grandfather had cancer, and now my mother has it, so I know it is not easy, but try to stay positive, your husband is young, he has enough strength to go through all of this! In my country there is a charity helping the patients’ families with money. (Usually people don’t think about that cancer has an economic impact on the families as well.) So I encourage you to check out what possibilities you have in your country. God bless your family!

Thank you! And I’m so sorry to hear this about your grandfather and mom. It’s hard, I know… financially too. I’m trying to work as much as I can. Just launched masterclasses. Plus, nail art community organised this sweet action #staystrongSoNailicious, which helped to get a bit more money :) There are still A LOT of medical expenses to cover but every little bit counts at the moment. And yes, you’re right, if we won’t be able to get through this, it’s great to know there are some charities. But doing what I really love (running SoNailicious!) and staying focused helps me to stay sane at the moment. As one of my friends told me recently, take it day by day and that’s what we’re trying to do :) And I hope it will get better eventually! Thanks again for your kind words! x
