I put together these beautiful and very generous nail art kits to raise more funds to help the endangered koalas as well as all the unique and very vulnerable Australian wildlife affected by the terrible fires.
If you’ve read this post than you know that koalas are facing the risk of extinction. On top of that, now Australia faces some of the most catastrophic bushfires we have ever seen. In New South Wales (NSW) alone, almost one million hectares of forest has burnt already. Whiles firefighters are still battling more than 160 bushfires, there are about 100 fresh blazes ignited in just 24 hour period.
I am greatly saddened by the loss of life and homes, as well as the injuries suffered in the bushfires. However, while trees burn, Australian wildlife suffers the most. As many as 1000 koalas have perished in these fires, as many as they are now categorised as ‘functionally extinct’ and more are injured or had their habitat destroyed.
As the blue Sydney skies turned brown and thick, toxic smoke engulfed the city, instead of falling into despair, I decided to act and do what I can to support to the most vulnerable. Of course, I could just donate myself but I doubt that my contribution would make much difference. Significant funds are needed to restore the forest and provide medical equipment for the wildlife injured by the bushfires.
So I came up with an idea to join our forces and support two organisations that protect wildlife in Australia – World Wildlife Fund Australia (WWF) and Koala Hospital. With the aim to raise at least $1000 I put together 4 Limited Edition Nail Art Kits. Each kit is tailored to your nail art needs and contains 14 – 18 brand new nail art goodies.
