Just a quick post to show you the Kenzo 2014 collection inspired Kenzo Eye nails. While we’re working hard to finish our Nail art guide, we are also reviewing fashion and beauty reports from the London and Paris Fashion Weeks. After seeing so much fashion, it’s hard not to be inspired to create some fun new manicures. So, very late one night, these Kenzo Eye nails were born. Periwinkle blue, red, black and white are the dominant colours of the new collection so these colours defined the colour palette of our nail art. The ring finger design is a direct representation of the famous Kenzo Eye bag.
The design is completely freehand painted and let me tell you, that checked pattern on the pointer finger was the most difficult part of this manicure. The black details were very prone to bleeding when applying the top coat. Oh well, lesson learned: when doing black and white designs with tiny details, sufficient time must be allowed for the black polish to dry completely before applying top coat.
The black shade used is Kester Black. There is so much to say about this new Australian polish brand that it’d have to be a separate article. For now, just enjoy the Kenzo Eye!
Used: Kester Black Blue Rasberry, Paradise Punch, Bubblegum, Orly Vynil (black), London Polishes Snowflake (white) and Orly Polishield top coat.
