Dior Summer 2018 nail polish collection is without doubt is one of the most exciting! I’ve been eagerly waiting for it’s arrival since I saw the pre release photos a few months ago. Nothing excited me than seeing new bright happy nail colours! So I’ve kept imagining countless designs with the pure bright aqua, energetic orange, cool denim and shimmering watermelon on my nails. Much to my greatest annoyance, I’ve managed to break two nails on the same day as I’ve (finally!) bought the new collection.
So these little Dior beauties have been patiently waiting for a month while I’ve been religiously massaging Nailactan in my nails trying to speed up their growth. So when next week you’ll see some strangely shaped nails here on SoNailicious don’t be surprised ;) and for now, let’s have a first look at the new Dior Cool Wave lacquers!
The collection includes 4 limited edition colours:
- 404 Splash – a bold aquamarine creme that draws all eyes your way
- 431 Pow – a shimmering orange that looks sensational on tanned skin
- 541 Wizz – a shimmering watermelon that flatters any skin tone
- 894 Blop – a cool denim blue creme that is the perfect colour for summer nights
While Blop and Splash have a classic creme formula the bright Pow and Wizz contain the Dior’s signature elegant shimmer. The same kind of shimmer as you can find in Dior Now, Cosmic and quite a few other Dior nail polishes. This shimmer brings depth and vibrancy to the colour and makes your manicure look ultra glossy without actually seeing any shimmer.
With regards to the formula, it’s flawless as always, Dior never disappoints. The four polishes are a treat to apply – fully opaque and glossy with just 2 coats. The pictured swatches are 2 coats with a top coat. The formula is 5-free and enriched with organic silicon, which will make your manicures last longer.
