Ciao from the sunny Almafi Coast bellas! We’re in Italy and as you would expect, the world’s capital of fashion (and shopping!) has a lot to offer. There’s an abundance of inspiration, cultural icons and a great variety of new beauty brands with hundreds of new polish colours. Of course, the food here is also on a whole other level. More about our trip and the fun things to do in Italy in one of the next posts. But now, let me introduce this stunner by Niyo & Co. It’s a well-known Italian beauty brand. I’d call it ‘budget’ brand but all cosmetics are so cheap here (from 1 – 6 euro for a bottle of polish) that it’s just the normal price. The quality is superb and from lipsticks to polishes – the colour palette is fantastic!
For instance, Niyo & Co, offers 2 ranges – Cool Laque, 4.90 euros and Strong Lasting, 6.90 euros. In total there are about 50 fantastic colours in a variety of finishes – from classic cremes to trendy chameleons. I was lucky enough to visit their shop when a sale was on so the 4.90 lacquers were only 1.90 euros each. I got two colours #29 (pictured) and #16 (Chanel Taboo‘s dupe). Now that I know how good they are I really wish I grabbed more.

REVIEW – Niyo & Co Cool Laque 29
- Formula: 5-Free and cruelty free. Long lasting, but not very fast-drying.
- Finish: Super shiny turquoise duochrome with silver speckles. Highly pigmented, only 2 coats for a fully opaque finish. Very glossy, can be worn without a top coat (pictured – no top coat, 2coats of polish).
- Application: Easy to apply and it goes on evenly without any streaks.
- Wearability: so far, it’s been 3 days without a top coat and going fine. Niyo & Co Cool Laque 29 survived the ‘beach test’ with some sand castle building action too.
- Nail Art: Perfect for any kind of nail art or details and it would also look awesome mattified.
- Extra Notes: OPI This Color’s Making Waves is very similar (almost dupe) to Niyo & Co Cool Laque 29.
Overall Impression: If you’re in Italy, definitely get some Niyo & Co! Whether you’re after some exotic colours or classic cremes, the quality is fantastic. Niyo & Co are 5-free and cruelty-free to make it an even more attractive buy.
Availability: Niyo & Co, 1.90 euro (4.90 normal price).
