March 2015 will be full on here at SoNailicious. We’ve got exciting new features coming in addition to our regular tutorials and interviews, plus there’s two huge announcements to make! Today’s manicure pretty much sets the mood for March. This nail art carries an important message. Remember our Stop The War peaceful protest? The support and care shown by our readers was incredible and once again, we’re teaming up with a great cause to raise awareness of their message and show them what a kind, caring bunch the nail art community is.
So, when my friend Atima NailsByNemo invited me and other nail artists to join her in raising awareness for Facial Palsy by creating a purple manicure, of course I agreed. The Facial Palsy Awareness Week takes place every year during 1-7 March. The week highlights issues about the devastating effects of facial palsy, a condition which has over 30 different causes and can affect anyone. Unfortunately it is often misunderstood by health professionals and the general public. If you’d like to read Atima’s story and learn more about the effects of facial palsy more information can be found here.
I encourage you all to join us by wearing purple nails or creating a purple nail design with a divided face smiling only on one side. You can also do half face make up and leave the other half ‘naked’. It’s up to you but let’s get behind Atima and Facial Palsy Awareness Week and show them we care. Please use the tag #FaceMyDay.
To get this look follow this Glitter Gradient Manicure tutorial.

Hope you guys will join us and support the #FaceMyDay campaign!
