Dior Blue Drop is one of the four new colours released as a part of the Dior Wild Earth Summer 2019 Limited Edition collection. For those of you who have not seen it yet (though it’s very simple – just click here) the new collection with abundance of luxurious shimmer and bronze tones is the epitome of sizzling summer, which aligns perfectly with the global climate change trend. At least while sweating in the heat of the upcoming summer (which promises to be the hottest in human history), our nails will look cool.
Naturally, my favourite colour from the new collection is Blue Drop – a stunning turquoise metallic nail polish that looks very flattering on both tanned and fair complexion. And most importantly, it’s perfect shade of the ocean blue brings memories of the whimsical beach holidays! So even when our oceans will change their colour soon, we will still have Dior Blue Drop to remind us of their true colour. It is unknown whether or not Mr Peter Philips was inspired by the ocean, but either way he gets big thumbs up simply for creating such stunning colour with a special meaning and serious vacation vibes.

REVIEW:
Finish/Colour: a highly pigmented turquoise nail polish in a stunning metallic finish. You can easily get away with 2 thin coats, but I prefer 3 thin coats just in case. Pictured 3 coats without a top coat.
Formula: 5-free, very fast drying and extremely long-lasting.
Application: Flawless! Dior Blue Drop yields in a perfect streak-free coverage, which is rare for a metallic nail polish, and the signature Dior’s extra-wide brush makes it very easy to apply nail polish without any mistakes. If you do make any mistakes though, they can be easily fixed with this angular brush – dip it in nail polish remover and run around cuticles to perfect your manicure.
Wearability: Very long-lasting, I wore Dior Blue Drop on my toe nails for 10 days without chipping – and even without any top coat. On nails it lasted for 2 weeks with 2 coats of a top coat.
Nail Art: suitable for any kind of nail art. It looks great paired with other Dior nail polishes from the Wild Earth collection.
Dupes: I couldn’t find any dupes for this new Dior nail polish in my collection.
Extra Notes: it’s vibrant and highly pigmented, so beware Dior Blue Drop can stain your nails! It did stained mine a tiny bit, even though I wore a base coat underneath, but I wore it for 2 weeks. So I’d recommend you wear a special protective base coat, like this to avoid any staining.
Overall Impression: The new Dior Blue Drop is a one of a kind turquoise nail polish, perfect for summer and beach holidays. However, it’s highly pigmented, so make sure you wear a protective base underneath to get the most out of your colour. A must have colour for Dior fans and everyone who likes a daring manicure!
Where to Buy: Dior Blue Drop is available now – here and here for $28.00; Europe here – £21.00 and Australia – $41, here. It’s limited edition, so act fast!
Now, over to you!
