As you know, I spent last weekend at Beauty Expo Australia and well, it was a nail art paradise! From unbelievable Japanese nail artists to exciting new launches and Expo specials; there was everything any beauty and nail art lover could dream of. Over the two days I saw and tried a huge variety of products and now, after careful consideration, I’ve distilled a list of the best of the best.
Here’s 10 most amazing discoveries from Beauty Expo Australia 2015:
1. Nebu Milano, POA.
A new high end makeup brand that will launch in Australia in a few months. Luxurious 24 carat gold packaging and paraben-free formula of Nebu’s signature ‘Sundisk’ compact makes this bronzer a must-have for any luxury lover. It will be hard to find though. Nebu’s representatives told me that this brand will only be available in the most exclusive beauty boutiques and perfumeries.
2. OPI Venice LE and more!
To my greatest delight, the OPI stand at the Beauty Expo had everything. Literally every single colour and set including the newly launched OPI Venice (including the limited edition colours! YAY!), OPI Designer Series and Colour Paints. The prices were unreal too (for Australia) – $10 p/bottle. Check out OPI St Mark’s The Spot – that’s the nail polish I’m wearing on the very first photo. Stunning!
3. Montana Bliss Lipsticks, RRP $25.
This new Melbourne based lipstick brand has got it all. Beautiful packaging, bold colours, fantastic semi-matte formula and it’s also cruelty-free. Founded by a mum and daughter 2 years ago, Montana Bliss has already gained a loyal fan base. Did you see our interview with Montana on Snapchat? She’s only 17 and totally nailing it!
4. LeChat Perfect Match, POA.
My jaw dropped when I saw this stand. Over 300 colours that come in ‘Perfect Match’ pairs of gel and nail polish in exactly the same colour! How convenient is that? Lots of affordable sets, nail art polishes and thermo gels!
5. Mind To Body Massage Candles, POA.
A candle that makes your room smell like heaven and is relaxing enough to be used during a massage. It’s cruelty free, made out of certified organic oils and shea butter, and it’s Australian made!
6. Caption Polish, RRP $16.95.
The mysterious Lac Q3 ingredient is a component of Young Nails’ entry into non-UV gel-like polishes. With over 60 vivid core colours and dozens of cool effects, Caption was a massive hit at the Expo.
7. Japanese Designs, POA.
Always amazing! How do they even do that? I guess my next trip will have to be to Tokyo to find out!
9. Dushi Eye Brow Fillers, RRP $19.95
How do you you get Cara Delevingnesque eyebrows if you have minimal eyebrows? The answer is right in front of you! Dushi eye brow fillers are 100% organic and made out of Moroccan Cotton and mineral based colorants. #NailsandTheBrows look coming soon – guaranteed!
9. Color Club, from $5.
Color Club’s stand had some of the biggest crowds. No wonder, with a range of over 100 colours and prices starting from $5 per bottle. Plus they had their famous Color Club holos. Are you excited to see these in action?
10. Morgan Taylor, POA.
It was a great pleasure to discover Morgan Taylor stand at the Expo. At the moment this brand is not available to the general public in Australia. It’s currently for salons only but let’s hope this changes in the future!
What products from the list above would you like to see (swatches, reviews) first?
