Yet another gorgeous nail polish from the newest OPI Gwen Stefani collection! We reviewed the silver chrome OPI Push & Shove last week and today it’s time for the stunning shade of signature Gwen Stefani red – OPI Over & Over A-Gwen.
As it turned out Gwen’s signature red is a classic, rich red with warm undertones. You can get OPI Over & Over A-Gwen either as just nail polish or as a part of a set that comes in a beautiful box which includes some studs and crystals along with the full size nail polish bottle. Today we’re reviewing the set.

Set includes: Full size OPI Over & Over A-Gwen nail polish, 15 ml, nail glue, 2g, Swarowski Elements Studs & Crystals and 1 nail art look booklet.
Formula: A fast drying, 3-free.
Application: Easy to apply with a signature, extra-wide OPI brush. As with all OPI lacquers in general, OPI Over & Over A-Gwen is fantastic.
Now, the glue that comes with the set was really hard to use. It’s gluing qualities are similar to superglue. I managed to glue a finger to one of the studs and damaged the surface of one of the studs. The tiniest amount of this glue will damage anything including your manicure. So if you don’t have the motor control or a precision of jeweller, we’d recommend you don’t use this glue. After numerous failed attempts and one perfectly manicured nail ruined, I re-did the nail and used a top coat instead of the glue. It worked! The manicure lasted 4 days, no studs lost.
Finish: Highly pigmented creme red. Looks best with a high shine top coat or mattified.
Wearability: 3-4 days chip free.
Nail Art: OPI Over & Over A-Gwen works great on it’s own or for any kind of nail art.
The studs: Studs that comes with the set are beautiful. There’s are only a small quantity, so keep them for a special occasion or you could try and re-use them. We saved a few studs after taking off the pictured manicure and intent to use them later. Remember, just don’t use the glue that comes with the set on them.
Overall Impression: OPI Over & Over A-Gwen is a stunning, classic red nail polish. If you love red nails you might have something similar in your stash already. But if you love Gwen and want to own a particularly bright red, then get OPI Over & Over A-Gwen and don’t worry about the set. However, if you want to have an OPI limited edition item in your stash or you’re looking for a Birthday present for your girlfriend/sister/mum then definitely get the set. The box is gorgeous and the studs are great! Just tell them not to use that damn glue.
