You never know where you’ll find the inspiration for your next manicure! For instance, take this Mixed Media grey nail design that I wore during Beauty Expo last weekend. As you know I taught two masterclasses at the Expo so I wanted to create a special manicure using Mavala nail polishes that would also reflect the theme of our masterclasses. One of the designs that I taught was Mixed Media, so this new trend became the foundation for this manicure.
As for the colours, I took the inspiration from the new Mavala First Class nail polish collection palette. It’s themed around the spirit of traveling the globe and discovering new places (very me!). Plus, I added silver glitter and black details to match my outfit on the day. I’m all about wearable nail art and this First Class design is just another example of how nail art can complete a look.
For this nail design, I used two colours from the collection – Mavala Cortina & Tahiti. The rest of the collection is also beautiful, I thought I’d show you the entire collection. It includes 6 soft tones, highlighted with a strong red and coral, all enhanced with a luxurious silver shimmer.
- Fiji – A flowery pink.
- Tahiti – A blooming orange.
- Spitzberg – An icy rose white.
- Cape Town – A stunning red.
- Long Island – A milky-sweet coral.
- Cortina – A mineral grey mauve.
Used: Mavala Protective Base Coat, Cortina and Tahiti, SN 3mm silver glitter striping tape, SN 2 mm black tape and Mavala Gel Finish top coat.
Availability: Mavala First Class collection is available now, internationally – here and here. In Australia, via selected pharmacies, for full stockists list, visit Mavala.com.au.
Now over to you!
How do you like the new Mixed Media manicure trend? And, what are your thoughts on the new Mavala First Class collection, what colours would you use to create a design?
