Diorific Amethyst is the stunning dark plum creme from the new Diorific Precious Rocks collection. You may remember that my initial review of the collection did not feature Amethyst swatches. Due to unfavorable economical situation (read: limited budget) I had to skip colours similar to the Diorfics that I already have and I only obtained the two that are truly unique (see what they are here).
However, ever since the thought of my Diorific collection missing Amethyst kept bothering me. So after the successful SoNailicious nail art brush launch (which also turned the unfavorable economical situation into favorable one) I decided to treat myself and purchased the missing Precious Rock :)
Why such introduction? Because I want you to know that contrary to the popular belief, nail polishes don’t fall on me like rain from the sky. Usually I purchase them myself and just like anyone else, I have a budget :) So when I feature something on SoNailicious it’s because I
like love it and I want you to see it, and not because it descended on me from heaven. I actually secretly wish it was that way, but I’m not there yet…
Anyways, back to Diorific Amethyst… This nail polish has a flawless formula, fully opaque in just 2 thin coats, long-lasting and mega shiny. It’s perfect just like all other Diorifics. I’ve already reviewed in depth similar Diorific nail polishes here. Amethyst’s formula is exactly like Smoky‘s, however, Diorific Amethyst is a pure, classic dark plum creme and Smoky is black plum creme with addition of extra fine shimmer.
As you can see from the Diorifics dupe comparison below, they all come from the same colour family but have different shades…
Overall Impression: If you love dark red nails, then Diorific Amethyst is a must for you! Especially if you haven’t tried Diorifics yet, it’s a great one to start your collection with. Amethyst looks very flattering on and the formula is superb. Plus, it’s a limited edition ;)
Over to you!
Are you a fan of Diortific collections? What’s your favourite colour this year and how do you like the Amethyst?
