Do you want to learn how to quickly transform a plain manicure into a chic design? Then you’ll love this ingeniously easy Autumn Nails how to!
All you need is a few nail polishes from the same colour family, preferably an Autumn colour palette, a good liner nail art brush and stencils. For my manicure I used the new Fall 2017 collection from Cirque Colors and the wave nail stencils from this set. Even though usually I prefer freehand nail art, it’s quite difficult (read: impossible) to create an identical pattern on each nail. Stickers are the perfect solution for a manicure like this. You’ll get accurate results very quickly using nail stickers.
Now, without further ado, let’s see the how-to!
HOW TO:
1. Apply 2-3 coats of light peach nail polish on all nails and apply 1 thin coat of a fast drying top coat. Let it all dry for 15-20 mins.
2. Apply Smooth Wave nail stencils in the middle of each nail.
3. Now work one nail at a time. Apply brick red polish on one side of the stencil.
4. Accurately remove the stencil.
5. Repeat steps 3 on all nails.
6. Using a liner nail art brush, paint nude wave right next to the brick red details. First create the outline of the light nude detail by replicating the wave detail patter and then fill it in with the nude polish. Clean your brush after you’ve done all nails.
7. Using the same liner brush, paint thin rose gold wave between the brick red and nude waves on all nails.
8. Finish your nail design with 2 coats of clear top coat.
NOTE: step 1 is very important. If you do not allow your nails to dry after applying nail stencils, they may lift the nail polish.
