Mixed media manicures with nail art striping tape are so hot right now! They’re very easy to do and perfect for any season. Because they are so fresh and modern, these nail designs look great during the bright summer day as they do on a mysterious winter night. They are office friendly and can be done in pretty much any colour imaginable making them easy to match to outfit.
So today I’ll show you not just one but two easy nail designs with the new striping tape! The first one is Edgy Colour Blocking and the second, Striking Pink. Both designs are done with the extra-wide striping tape. I’ve been obsessed with this tape ever since it landed at the SoNailicious Boutique. There are so many cool things you can do with it. These two nail tutorials is a great example of how easy it is to get a funky Mixed Media nails by just using this tape.
So let’s have a look!
Grab your favourite nail polishes and striping tape, hit play (or watch it full screen here) and let’s get creative!
IMPORTANT: your polish has to be completely dry before you apply the striping tape. Do not attach it over wet polish. Also, make sure you attach the tape well at the edges and it’s not lifting at the nail curves. By doing this, the surface of your nail design will be perfectly smooth when you apply the top coat.
