Quite simply, Kat Von D NaYeon is the edgiest gunmetal nail polish ever released. It is one of the 5 limited edition nail colours from the Kat Von D VS Formula X polish collection that match her bestselling Studded Kiss lipsticks. However, as much as I love Kat’s classic matte red lip look, when it comes to polish, my vote goes to NaYeon. It’s the most unusual and the darkest colour from the range. So if you like dark edgy nails as much as I do, it’s time to pay a visit to your local Sephora store.

REVIEW:
Formula: 3-free, relatively fast drying with a highly pigmented super-fine glitter. Two coats is enough to get Formula X NaYeon fully opaque (2 coats pictured). Sephora state on their website that all Formula X polishes feature a patented ‘No Compromise’ formula with ShineXcel™, a luminescent ingredient that enhances color and overall brilliance.
I don’t have a lab, but I can confirm that Formula X NaYeon is of exceptional quality and has highly-pigmented colour.
Application: Formula X NaYeon polish goes on flawlessly and 100% streak free. It has a great thin brush similar to the old Essie brushes.
Finish/Colour: This gunmetal nail polish is actually a fine silver shimmer in a black base. It has a semi-matte finish and when applied, unlike other thick shimmers, this polish looks perfectly even on nails and does not require a top coat to smooth it out. In my opinion, NaYeon looks better without a glossy top coat because it looks almost like real metal on your nails. Very edgy and sharp. Nail Art: Perfect for any kind of nail art.
Dupes: I’m not aware of any dupes.
Wearability: Very long lasting, Formula X NaYeon lasted for 5 days without top coat.
