Ever since Kate Moss’ interview with Rimmel where she said to match nails and lips is “a big no-no” I’ve been conflicted. Kate is an authority when it comes to fashion. Whatever she says about personal style or makeup is probably to be right but… that just didn’t sound quite right. How beautiful is the classic red lip and nail look? Or how chic are black nails look paired with dark lips? Don’t get me wrong, I adore contrasting nails and makeup looks. For instance, bright nails, nude lips or white nails, coral lips combos… I just can’t get enough!
Now let’s talk a bit more about ‘to match or not to match’. I’d love to know what you think!

LOL I know! But I actually do quite often – dark lips with dark nails or red lips – red nails. Probably my favorite combos :)

I prefer the match in pictures, but don’t really do it myself, in real life.

Yes, it looks amazing on photos, indeed! But even in real life, for instance classic red lips paired with red nails look beautiful. Don’t you think? :)

I love matching, but I don’t do it every day! Considering I wear a different lip colour every day, but don’t change my nail colour every day it’s difficult to always be matchy. Also I love wearing blues and greens on my nails, but I’m not game enough to wear green lippy so on those days I definitely don’t match, LOL. Great post hun! xx
