Would you resist a nail art experiment if you had the entire new Kester Black collection to play with? Yep, me neither! So here it is, my first nail design with Kester Black Spring 2017. I opted for a Geometric nail design (surprise, surprise!) with dominant grey, Kester Black Sky and bright accents using other colours from the collection. It’s an unusual colour combination but I’m happy how it all turned out. I added silver lines later, over the fully painted pattern to bring the vibrant blue and red in harmony with delicate light grey. The trick worked!
I’ve also tried this nail design in both finishes – matte (second last photo) and glossy. It seems that glossy version looks much brighter. But matte nails definitely look more trendy and place more focus on the design.
With regards to how-to… this design is completely freehand painted. With the right nail art brush it’s quite easy and quick ;)
- Sugar Daddy– silver
- Raspberry – berry red
- Monarch – electric blue
- Sky – grey-blue
- Orly Vinyl
- Essie Gel Top Coat
- Essie Matte About You
- SN Needle nail art brush
So what do you think about this colour combination? And, matte or glossy?
