Dior Aurora is one of the two new colours released as a part of the Diorsnow 2018 Limited Edition collection. Elegant and feminine this unusual light pink colour looks incredibly flattering on and the beautiful shimmer makes it worthy of a special occasion. “This is the perfect nail polish to wear on a wedding day!” I think as I look at the precious Dior bottle.
Abundance of shimmer and delicate shade of pink deceptively suggest that Dior Aurora is a sheer lacquer. But with the first coat applied on your nails you can feel and see the difference immediately. Aurora in fact is a luxurious, highly pigmented creme with a strong shimmering frost-like effect. Usually I’m not a fan of light pink or nude nail colours, but Aurora simply blows my mind. In addition to a stunning colour, the whole application process feels like a luxurious experience. Your nails look so flawless, you can’t help but to start thinking of a wedding dress to match this polish!
Now let’s have a look at the swatches below and as always, for all the juicy details read my full review below.
REVIEW:
Finish/Colour: a very light pink creme with purple undertones and extra-fine silver shimmer. The shimmer is more visible in direct sunlight (last photo).
Formula: 5-free, fast drying and very long-lasting. Even though the colour is very light, Aurora‘s formula is highly pigmented. You’ll only need 2 thin coats to get full coverage. Pictured 2 coats with a top coat.
Application: Absolutely flawless. Once again, Dior proves that their polishes are some of the best. Dior Aurora covers your nails evenly without any streaks and the signature Dior’s extra-wide brush makes it very easy to apply nail polish without any mistakes.
Wearability: Very long-lasting, with a top coat Dior lacquers can last up to 7 – 10 days without chipping.
Nail Art: suitable for any kind of nail art. Also this delicate shimmering creme would look great mattified.
Dupes: I couldn’t find any dupes for the new Dior nail polishes. The closes colour is Kester Black The Future is Female, which is a classic creme and more pink than Aurora, which has a cooler feel due to lilac undertones.
Overall Impression: The new Dior Aurora is a very beautiful nail polish and as always, the formula is flawless. Surprisingly, it look stunning even on lighter skin tones and flatters even mature skin. It’s the perfect wedding nail polish. So if you have your big day ahead – dress your nails in Dior Aurora. This luxurious, feminine nail colour is the epitome of elegance and bridal beauty. You’ll love it!
Where to Buy: Dior Aurora is available now – US $28.00 here / AUD $41 here / £21.00 here. Limited Edition.
