2 New Must Have Dior Nail Colours for Fall 2017

Behold! The new limited edition Dior Rouge Liquid Fall 2017 lacquers. You may remember that recently I’ve shown you the new Dior Metallics collection yet there’s already new one that is totally worth your attention.

Dior Rouge Liquid nail polishes have been launched along with the new Dior Rouge Liquid lipsticks range. The lipstick range combines three unique finishes: metallic, satin and matte, and the same idea is reflected in the accompanying nail polish collection.

The 4 new nail polish collection includes:

• #162 Miss Satin – light warm pink with pearlescent effect in satin finish
• #614 Jungle Matte – cinnamon in matte finish
• #979 Poison Metal – maroon in metallic finish
• #999 Rouge Matte – warm red in matte finish

Yes, I know, Dior wants your money. Just like every other brand (and even me! haha). Even though it’s Spring in Australia, it definitely feels like Fall in SoNailicious HQ because the new Fall polish collections are falling down on me like Autumn leaves in a forest :) I just wish I had enough resources to show you everything…

So today, instead of showing you the entire new collection, I’ll focus on the two lacquers that are, in my opinion, worth the investment.

Now let’s have a look at the swatches below and as always, for more juicy details read my review below.

REVIEW:

Finish/Colour:

• #614 Jungle Matte – light brown with pink undertones in matte finish
• #979 Poison Metal – vibrant maroon with crimson and orange undertones in metallic finish

Formula: 5-free, fast drying and long-lasting. The formula is highly pigmented. You’ll only need 2 thin coats to get full coverage.

Application: As per usual, the application is flawless. No streaks or lines, which is pretty impressive, especially for a matte polish. Plus, the signature Dior’s extra-wide brush makes it very easy to apply nail polish without any mistakes. Those with small nail beds will be able to apply this nail polish in one stroke.

Wearability: Very long-lasting, with a top coat Dior lacquers can last up to 7 – 10 days without chipping.

Nail Art: suitable for any kind of nail art. Also Poison Metal looks great mattified.

Dupes: I couldn’t find any dupes for the new Dior nail polishes. Dior Jungle Matte is somewhat similar to Cirque Colors Coffee Talk, but the latter is noticeably darker and more brown. Dior Poison Metal is a bit similar to OPI I’m Not Really A Waitress, but the latter is a classic red metallic, while Poison Metal is a maroon.

Extra Notes: I’m not quite sold on the idea of a matte polish, because a) you can easily mattify any polish with a matte top coat, and b) it takes ages to dry! You have to wait for the matte polish to dry by itself  because you can’t apply fast drying top coat (that will make it glossy) to speed up the process. However, I can see the appeal to the general public, who may not be aware that such thing as a matte top coat exists.

Overall Impression: The new Dior polishes are stunning and as always, the formula is flawless. In my opinion Poison Metal is a must have. It’s absolutely stunning and will flatters any skin tone. Dior Jungle Matte is a beautiful Fall nail colour. But if you already have some light browns in your collection than just get a matte top coat and mattify those to achieve the same effect.

Also, even though I did not feature Miss Satin, it’s very beautiful and elegant nail colour, so if you’re into pink, feminine manicures I’d strongly suggest to invest into this one.
