Did you miss me? Back after the post-Fashion Week recovery with this Alexander Wang inspired manicure. I must admit, it was a bit ambitious to think I’d be able to post on site everyday of Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA). I did however plenty of live reporting on Snapchat (username: SoNailicious) from backstage and the shows. Plenty of videos and… O.M.G. talking! But even though this year we had some extra staff on site at MBFWA, things got incredibly busy. Running on 2 hours of sleep everyday for a week eventually resulted in me getting unwell. So imagine that plus, me trying to get ready for a big launch. Crazy times… it’s busier than ever in the SoNailicious HQ. But now I’m back, onward and upward!
I have accumulated lots of great stories from MBFWA that I can’t wait to share with you! From some of the most remarkable looks, to a fantastic interview with Essie Australia Nail Director, plus, a haute couture nail art tutorial and of course, some great expert nail art tips straight from the runways of Sydney!
Today’s stripey nail art was inspired by this Alexander Wang dress that I wore on Day 3 of MBFWA. The design was completely hand painted with this nail art brush. It was a great excuse for me to practice my line work skills. Seriously, hand painting those perfectly straight lines with exactly the same intervals and of the same thickness on each nail was quite a challenge.
Used: PP Chillax, Sea Siren Ultramarine, Orly White Tips and Liquid Vinyl, Essie Good To Go top coat.
Wearing: Gunmetal Knuckle Ring.
Now, that you know what’s coming over a few next days on SoNailicious (you’ve read the text above, right?) I have one important question to ask you. Do you want to see the outfits that I wore to MBFWA? To me, it seems like it’s a great idea to show how the manicures were working with the clothes and completing the look. But what about you guys, are you ready for some fashion on the pages of SoNailicious?
– Maria, xx
