Grow Your Nails Stronger with Orly Nailtrition + Review

orly nailtritionTwo of the most common questions we’re asked all the time “How to make my nails stronger?” and “How to make my nails grow longer?”. The answer is always the same “Start using Orly Nailtrition religiously”. Why? Simply because out of numerous nail strengthening products we’ve tried Orly Nailtrition is the one that solves both dilemmas quickly and efficiently. It just works wonders!

Also, Orly Nailtrition can be recommended for those who are trying to heal/grow damaged nails, for instance after acrylic nails or shellac.

Want to know more? Read full review below!

orly nailtrition reviewPromise:
Orly Nailtrition helps strengthen peeling and splitting nails. Collagen, Wheat Protein, Keratin and Bamboo Extract help stimulate healthier, faster growth. Nails grow longer and stronger.

Use:
Very easy to use. Apply 1-2 coats daily for a week. At the end of week, remove. Repeat for at least 3 weeks. Otherwise, simply use it as a base (2 coats) before applying nail colour for a month or longer if you wish.

orly nailtrition ingridientsorly nailtrition instructionsVerdict:
Yes, the product delivers the promise 100%! Listed below a few more positive qualities that we’ve found:

  1. Easy to apply thanks to a signature Orly brush.
  2. In light pink shade with a subtle pearlescent finish, Nailtrition makes nails look natural and healthy without adding any polish-like gloss.
  3. Very fast drying.
  4. It delivers nutrients straight to the nail plate and gradually makes your nails stronger while protecting them. Significant increase in nails elasticity and strength just after 2 weeks of continuous application.
  5. Particularly great for weak, dry and brittle nails that are prone to breaking.
  6. Makes your nails grow longer and much faster too!
  7. 5-Free formula, ie. it does not contain Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. The latter is particularly important as a nail strengthener is a product that be would be applied on your ‘naked’ nails daily for weeks, months or even years. We would not recommend doing that using a product that contains any of the Big 3 or 5 chemicals (we’ll explain why in upcoming articles).
  8. Almost half of ingredients are natural extracts know for their nutritious qualities, for instance, calcium ferment, safflower seed oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein and collagen.

Extra Notes: We strongly recommend to try Orly Nailtrition for at least 2 months to feel and see the difference. Underneath a nail colour or just as a ‘naked nails’ look, make sure Nailtrition is always on your nails during that period.

SoNailicious Recommends. Moreover, if we were to give any nail care product 10 out of 10, that would be Orly Nailtrition!

Availability: US$12.00 here or here; in Australia – $9.95 here for 9ml or in selected pharmacies.

So guys, what are your thoughts about Orly Nailtrition? Have you tried it before? Or, are you keen to invest in this one?

Not tried yet but your summary sure makes me want to! My go-to is OPI NNS but I also have tested some from Qtica, Essie and Nail-Tek which were all good too. So many options!

OPI, Qtica and Essie strengtheners are quite good too! It’s more about finding your ideal product. Same, as we try different skincare brands until we find our best cream. What suits one skin type may not suit another.

Orly Nailtrition is particularly great for dry nails that often split and break. It’s truly a life/nail-saver if that’s what you’re after! Though, if you try Orly let us know how you go, would love to hear your thoughts!

I’m keen to try this – I’d heard of it before but I got on the Duri Rejuvacote bandwagon. Keen to see what else is out there so I’ll give it a go!

Thanks, that’s exactly what I’m looking for! :) I used strengthener containing formaldehyde, each time as a base, two years. It made damage to my nails, and now I’m frantically running away from formaldehyde. I never could find the strengthener that 5free. I’ll try this.
Is it intended only as a treatment or I can normally use it as a base for a long time?

Yes, you can use it as a base too! 95% of nail designs shown here, on SoNailicious, Nailtrition was used as a base. I’ve been using it now for about 7 months with some short breaks – to test other products. There is a significant improvement in my nails condition with Nailtrition. You can check out the first nail art post (Phillip Lim nails) on SoNailicious and then compare it with something more recent – the difference is obvious!

Have you tried other Nail hardeners to compare and are you still using nailtrition? I started using this for 1 week now and I bought Nail Magic the other day. Have you tried it? On my left hand I have Orly and on my right I have Nail Magic and I am going to try them both for a little under 2 months and see which works better. After 5-6 weeks I am going to start using them as a base coat and see what works best. I use all zoya products and I know if I use things that are not 3-5 Free in conjunction then it might not work. Trial and error since everyone has diff body chemistry…what works for someone else might not work for another. Anyways, onto Nailtrition….after 1 week I like what I see..the growth is the same, nothing miracle because my nails do grow fast already, I just need them harder because they peel, bend, and if I use too much polish they will break easily and become brittle so I try to do my nails 1-2 times a week, any more than that and KA-PUT!

Hi Kim, Yes, I did try OPI Nail Envy, Essie Grow Stronger, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails and some indie brands (and a few of various nail strengtheners before I found Nailtrition), but I always come back to Nailtrition. It seems work for me the best. I, like you, used to have very brittle and weak nails. So when I change to different nail strengtheners – my nails start breaking. I don’t know if you’ve been following SoNailicious for a while or not, but if you see my nails get super short that means I’ve been test driving something again LOL Yes, it’s tragic like that – I switch to another strengthener, it lasts for 4 weeks max and then BANG! BANG! nails start breaking again. So you know, I’m not keen keep on trying anything else in the nearest future because it takes 4-6 weeks to get into good shape. I like my nails longer, they look nicer and more room for nail art. Plus, something is coming up in March and I’d really need my long nails for that. In April I might get back to test driving some more strengthening products :)
