I’m a firm believer that regardless of how short your nails are there is always room for nail art. Some nail art even looks better on short nails than on long. So when, on a recent rainy day, I had to file my nails much shorter than planned* I decided to turn it into a fun mini-project. Every day this week I’ll be posting a new nail art idea for short nails.
Let’s start with this simple silver nail design. All you need to get this look is a patterned (I used checkered) nail stickers and silver nail polish.
HOW TO:
- Paint all nails with silver nail polish and let dry.
- Cut out two to three stripes (as pictured below) from the stickers and attach them to your nails.
- Seal the deal with a top coat. Top coat is essential! It’ll mask the sticker edges and make your manicure last longer.
Used: Dior Miroir 001, stickers from eBay and Essie Good To Go top coat.
Wearing: Dainty Midi Rings in Platinum.
So what do you think about the simplicity of this design? What do you usually do when your nails are short, wait till they grow back or keep nailing it on shorties?

P.S. If you re-create this nail design, I’d love to see you work – Tweet or Instagram me a photo with the tag #sonailicious.
* It was a nail extension that ruined one my nails and as a result I had to file all my nails short. If you’re following me on Snapchat (username: SoNailicious) you probably saw that horror photo.
