Why nails?
I started painting my nails on a regular basis about 4 years ago. I found I was more likely to look after them (and not bite them!) when they looked pretty!
Nail care product you can’t live without?
Cuticle oil! At the moment I’m using China Glaze Orange Cuticle Oil.
The best nail care tip?
Always clean up after using a medium nail art brush (or paint brush) dipped in acetone or acetone polish remover. Neat clean nail polish makes a huge difference to the end result. Finish off with a good cuticle oil or balm as acetone can dry your skin out.
NAIL POLISH FAVORITES:
How many polishes in your collection?
I’m too scared to count! I store them in a Helmer which is close to full and I think they can hold around 500 polishes.
Favourite nail polish brand?
The bulk of my collection is made up of OPI, Butter London and China Glaze (3) so I would say they are my favourites. I love a good glitter and these 3 brands have been producing some fantastic ones at the moment.
Favourite indie polish brand?
I haven’t ventured too much into indies yet but I do have my eye on a few from Gloss n Sparkle and Emily de Molly (4).
Which brand has the best formula?
I’ve always found China Glaze to be really consistent with their good formula.
Which brand has the best brush?
I know some people complain about it but I really like OPI’s Pro wide brush.
NAIL ART:
1. Cherry Nails, 2. Burberry nails, 3. Polka Dot owls, 4. Galaxy nails.
Favourite colour combinations?
I don’t think I have a specific favourite colour combination, I love to experiment with lots of different colours. I do use a lot of glitter polish in my nail art though.
Favorite pattern/nail art?
Leopard Print! Anyone that follows my IG account would know Leopard Print features heavily. It’s fairly easy to do and very popular on Instagram.
