It’s travel season so this week will be dedicated to all things travel related on SoNailicious. I’m kicking it off with Tropical nails! This manicure is inspired by the view from my window. We have quite a few palm trees growing in the garden. Looking out on these beautiful powerful trees every day makes me want to go on holidays so badly. However, this year due to certain circumstances and a commitment to teaching nail art at this year’s Beauty Expo, I’m spending August in Sydney. So to satisfy my wanderlust cravings, I’ve added some tropical vibes to my nails.
For this design, I used Tropics nail vinyls from RockNailStar. A couple of months ago their lovely founder Irina sent me some vinyls and I’ve been enjoying them ever since. Here’s my first attempt at a nail vinyl manicure. This time, however, I experimented with freehanding the palm leaves on some nails, can you guess which?
For me it’s actually faster to freehand the pattern so if you’re short on time and handy with a nail art brush, just freehand the palm leaves. However, if you’re less confident with a brush, stencils are the perfect nail art option. Which ever you choose, these Tropical nails are easy, fun and… they look spectacular, I think ;)
