It started with Pink Champagne.. or was it Gatsby or maybe this rose gold styler? Either way, right now I’m loving all things rose gold. Rose gold nails look beautiful on lightly tanned skin. Since it’s summer in Australia and we spend almost every weekend at the beach I can confirm this.
So on another brief (a kind of) visit to Sydney’s Sephora, I picked up an interesting Marc Jacobs nail colour – Gatsby. A manicure idea was born almost immediately. Metallics look gorgeous when paired with a creme polish in a slightly lighter shade from the same colour family and I’ve been wanting to try Sea Siren Pink Champagne for a while. Gatsby + Pink Champagne – a match made in heaven. Plus, polka dot manicures are so easy to do!
To get the look: paint 2-3 coats of light pink polish, then with a larger end of dotting tool dot symmetrical rose gold dots on all nails. Add 1 coat of a matte top coat and you’re done! If you need more directions on how to do dotticures, please refer to this Polka Dot Nails tutorial from our book.
