Lucy started her blog in February 2010 and is now ranks as one of the top UK nail bloggers. High quality photography, original nail art designs (often painted free hand!) and an ambitious posting schedule, (5-6 times a week!) all of which make her blog a stand out. Once you’ve dropped by the site, you’ll become addicted to Lucy’s Stash.
Today Lucy is sharing her nail art secrets with us!
Why nails?
Well I’ve been painting my nails since my early teens and it stuck with me till today. I see nails as a blank canvas and I can make it mine and original….and I looove nail polishes! Different colours and finishes, there’s always something new and exciting in the nail polish world! Lately it’s all the indie brands ;)
Nail care product you can’t live without?
I can’t pick just one so I’ll tell you my three favourite products – Barielle Nail Strengthening Cream, Lush Lemony Flutter and pure Almond oil.
The best nail care tip?
Use hand cream and cuticle oils/creams as often as you can! I like to put a generous amount of products on my hands just before I go to sleep. Don’t forget to put on beauty gloves so you don’t mess up your bed sheets ;)
NAIL POLISH FAVORITES:
Favourite nail polish brand?
OPI – they never disappoint me.
Favourite indie polish brand?

NAIL ART:
Favorite pattern/nail art?
Lately I like to recreate Zentangle patterns on my nails (1)
What’s your best tip for painting your other hand?
Have some support, rest your hand on something to get steadier hand.
The most adventurous nail art you have ever created?
The Carrots & parsnip manicure (2) and my Scarlet Macaw (3) manicure is pretty adventurous :D It came out better than I imagined it would.
Favourite nail art trend?
Gradients! I love to do glitter gradients but also colour gradients using makeup sponge. For instance, Tropical Mix Gradient (4).
