From runways to nail polish, pastels have recently taken over the world. How they could not? After nineties grunge and the unisex noughties, we’re coming back to all things feminine in fashion. So that’s the challenge for today’s manicure, a pastel look that’s fresh and feminine yet not too girly and suitable for any age. Of course, it’s also very easy to do!

This manicure can be worn during the day or night. Even though we’re using pink, bright green and blue, the final look is so washed out you can barely see where one colour ends and another starts. To take this look from day to night, just add one layer of clear shimmering top coat or a layer of matte top coat (it will define and brighten up the colours). Finally, for a brighter version of these pastel nails, use darker shades (green or blue) as a base instead of white.

  • This mani looks great!!! Love how all the colours harmonize and how you can’t tell where one begins and the other ends :) Well done!
And yey for all things feminine! heheh
not that we won’t go for something edgy sometimes as well – so cool you included the option for a more ‘nocturnal’ version of the look – but sometimes pastel and floral are just what a girl needs! :)
Love the versatility of all the looks you’ve been showing us! Thank you so much!
Can’t wait for tomorrow, even though it’ll be the last day, which makes me sad ;(

    • Thank you Mina! Now I’m having hard times choosing the last two “Bonus” designs! When I began the challenge I thought I’d cover everything but as the challenge was progressing I was getting more ideas for more looks to show.

I wish it was not 28 but 60 nail designs! haha

  • I love this pastel combination! I am not really a pink girl but I would happily don this nail art. :-)
